Mushu

Meet Mushu! Mushy originally came to Stafford County Animal Shelter as a stray and sadly no one came looking for this unique-looking guy. His right eye was damaged and has since been given treatment but he will keep this unique look for the rest of his life. Mushu is a handsome kitty but he needs a special home and/or person. Mushu has recently been diagnosed with a number of medical conditions that the shelter will be more than happy to elaborate on to potential adopters. He is currently receiving medication for these and we will update his profile as necessary. We understand that these additional care requirements may deter some, but we also know there are many cat-lovers who love to give that extra TLC! Mushu has shown that he is not bothered whatsoever by dogs although given he is an older gentleman (estimated 8+), we think calmer canines would be his best fit. As for other felines, given his current medical needs, he might do best as an only cat, but as he is currently housed in one of our lobby cat cages, we have not observed how he gets along with other kitties. Mushu is an extremely sweet boy who loves to talk to his people and is great about communicating his opinions on life. As he is neutered, there are no geographical adoption restrictions so anyone is eligible to adopt him. -//- Please be prepared to provide a drivers’ license/picture ID and/or proof of residency upon adopting. The SCAS conducts adoptions on a first-come, first-serve basis and hours of operation are 11AM-5:30PM M-F, and 9:30AM-4:00PM on Saturday. Please note that adoptions conclude half an hour prior to closing.
