My Story
Say hello to the captivating, Nebula. This lovely lady and her brother, Bucky were brought to us through no fault of their own, but only after their previous owner could no longer care for them. Nebula and her brother have an estimated birthdate of 3/19/21, so they're about 3 1/2 years old. Nebula and Bucky have never been apart, and they are a very bonded pair who must be adopted together. Nebula is a large and in charge kind of girl, who currently tips the scale at 23 pounds. Needsless to say, this is a very unhealthy weight for this gorgeous gal, so she needs to shed a lot of weight to get her back down into a healthy weight range. This sweet gal could benefit from some exercise as well. That can be as simple as playing with her with a wand or feather toy. Anything to get her moving, is going to help her out immensely. Nebula and Bucky LOVE Temptations treats, but those treats will need to be limited in order for them to reach their weight loss and fitness goals. Both Nebula and Bucky love to be brushed, and you will be their best friend if you do that for them. Since they are both overweight, it's hard for them to groom themselve properly, so the brushing helps them out with that too. Nebula loves naps, and of course her favorite napping buddy is her brother, Buckey. They would do great in a more quiet home as neither has been exposed to dogs, other cats or children. They may be fine with other cats, but right now they're a little hissy when they see other cats at the shelter. We don't know for sure how they would do with dogs, but our hunch is that they may not be huge fans. Nebula and Bucky would likely be fine with children, but would probably do best with older children. Would you like to meet this adorable duo and make them a part of your family? Our adoption fee is $100.00 for kittens up to 6 months of age and $80 for cats 7 months and older. It includes: a microchip, spay or neuter, set of shots, de-worming, and a 1-year rabies vaccine (if old enough). Fees can be made by cash or credit card.
