My Story

Hi! I'm Onyx, an adorable short hair black cat. I was born outside in that cold MN winter so my ears are a little small and my fur is extra thick. My cheeks look chubby too. That's part of my charm. I used to be super afraid of everyone and everything but it turns out being inside is great. The people I live with are nice and gentle which has helped me get more comfortable. I love playing with my sister and brother. The resident older kitten is my best friend so I hope my new home has someone to play with. I definitely need a pal. I'm a little shy at first but once I'm comfortable I'm a big snuggle bug. I haven't met a dog yet but I'd likely do ok with slow intros. There are kids here and I like them when they play the wand toy with me. Otherwise they are a little loud and active for my taste. I can do fine in a house with them, I just want until they sleep to come out and play. I prefer a more quiet environment inside. I can't wait to meet my new family. I hope it's you. P.S. I prefer not to be held but I love to be petted/snuggled. I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age.
