My Story

Can you believe that two beautiful kitties like Mango and me were left behind? It’s true! I’m a lovely, fluffy, medium-haired orange and white female cat called Papaya. My sweet kitten and I were found in the garage area of a rental property by the property manager after a tenant moved out and left us behind. We went to Paws and Claws, and because my baby Mango was only about 2-3 weeks old, we went to a foster home. I’m a good mother, but this “mamaya” named Papaya is ready to give up my mothering duties and be pampered! Most of the time, I was friendly and cuddly while in my foster home. I let my foster mom handle my kitten. However, I can get “snippy” at times, so I may do best in a home with older children or adults only. Christopher Columbus coined the term “papaya” when he first tasted the fruit. It means “fruit of the angels.” I hope I’ll be someone’s sweet Papaya very soon!
