My Story

Meet Patience, a cat with a serene demeanor that truly lives up to her name. This 2-year-old patch tabby is eagerly looking for her human best friend to share her life with. Her mellow nature makes her the perfect companion for quiet evenings at home, where her presence adds warmth and comfort. Patience is a helpful soul, always seeking to be near her humans, offering comfort and company with her gentle purrs and soft nudges. She delights in simple pleasures, such as gazing out the window, indulging in her favorite foods, and playfully rolling around in catnip. Sadly, Patience's journey hasn’t been easy. Her previous owners were less than kind, neglecting her needs and leaving her feeling anxious and unloved. Despite this difficult past, she has maintained her gentle and loving spirit, ready to embrace a new life filled with kindness. As a one-cat household kind of girl, Patience cherishes her alone time as much as her bonding moments with her family. She thrives in the company of adults or older, respectful children who understand her need for both affection and independence. A calm environment will help her continue to flourish and heal from her past experiences. Despite her past, Patience remains a friendly and cuddly cat, always ready to lend a comforting purr or a playful paw. If you're seeking a chill, food-loving feline friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Patience is the cat for you. Her love for food, catnip, and companionship promises a rewarding relationship for her future family. Her name is not just a trait but a promise of the love and companionship she's ready to give. Adopt Patience, and let her show you the true meaning of friendship and loyalty. Together, you can help her create a new story filled with joy and affection. Patience is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email [email protected]. Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
