Hi there, I'm Peekaboo , a super sweet, one-of-a-kind orange girl (yep, orange girls are pretty rare!) with a heart as big as Texas! I may be small, but I'm packed with kitten energy and need a furry best friend to wrestle, chase, and cuddle with-so having another playful kitty in my new home is a must! My journey has been an adventure! I started out living outside in Texas until some kind humans scooped me up (along with my besties Rollie & SweetPea ) and showed us the wonders of indoor life. Then, we embarked on the ultimate road trip-traveling all the way to Minnesota ! After a few cars, a long van ride, and a pit stop or two, we finally landed in a cozy foster home on 2/11/2025 , where we've been living our best kitten lives. Since I've had a lot of big changes recently, I can be a little cautious at first. Loud noises and sudden movements? Not my favorite. I like to have a cozy spot where I can take it all in before jumping into the fun. But give me a few days, and guess what? I'll go from hiding to purring on your lap in no time! I love snuggles, pets, and I have an A+ purr machine. I'm a pro at kitty parkour , I wrestle like a champion , and I supervise backyard wildlife (bunnies and squirrels, I'm watching you!). I've met dogs and, as long as they respect my tiny but mighty presence, I don't mind them one bit. Here's the deal: I need a feline friend in my forever home-someone to be my playmate, my cuddle buddy, my partner in crime. I'll miss Rollie & SweetPea a lot, but I'm ready to be brave and find my perfect family ! If you've got a playful kitty companion and a little patience , I'll give you all my trust, love, and cuddles in return. So, what do you say? Let's make forever happen! Peekaboo is from Texas. To learn more about Ruff Start's adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats' emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of "Single Kitten Syndrome" (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten's most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
