My Story

*CURRENTLY IN FOSTER please contact shelter if interested in adopting!* Meet Scarlett and Phoenix, a bonded pair of sweet kitties who have overcome the odds together and are looking for a loving forever home! A21082 Scarlett is an 11-month-old, 7.5-pound spayed female domestic longhair with a shy but gentle demeanor. She came to her foster home needing a safe place to recover from ringworm. Though shy at first, she learned to trust her humans. Given time, she loves a bit of affection. occasionally when you sleep in, you'll wake to her lounged on you, ready to ask where her breakfast is once you awaken. Scarlett has a nurturing spirit and immediately took to grooming other kittens in the foster home, as though she'd been a mom in a past life. She has a strong purr, hilarious meow, and independent spirit. She loves window perches, eager to watch birds as they flit by A24412 Phoenix, an 8-month-old, 6-pound spayed female domestic shorthair had a much rougher start in life. She came from a community of wary, distrustful cats and, understandably, is fearful of humans. However, she's proved to be a loving soul underneath the fear, slowly learning to trust people and her surroundings. With time, she may share her secret purr with you Scarlett was the first cat to approach Phoenix, offering friendship and comfort with a kind approach. Scarlett has been Phoenix's guide and security blanket as she navigates homelife. While Scarlett is already comfortable with petting and being picked up, Phoenix is still gaining confidence. She's made tremendous progress in her six weeks in foster care. Though still nervous, she accepts head scritches and even lets her foster humans hold her briefly when she's feeling brave. With patience and time, Phoenix will continue to flourish into the confident companion she's meant to be. These two share a love of play, especially chasing toys! Scarlett may show off her impressive jumping skills, while Phoenix loves grabbing and biting the toy before scampering off with it. They wrestle each other, and their bond is truly heartwarming. Scarlett provides the security Phoenix needs They live in a foster home with 5 other cats and a playful small dog. They seek chill, understanding humans experienced with shy cats and ready to offer Phoenix the patience and time she needs to fully settle in
