Pocket

Meet Pocket! Pocket and Pywacket were found as tiny strays. They spent some time growing up in foster care and now these sweet sisters are ready for their furrever homes with you!! Pocket and Pywacket quickly made friends with the large gentle dog and two adult cats in their foster home. Their foster mom says they are gentle and less hyperactive than most kittens their age, but that doesn't mean they don't want to play (a lot)! Their favorite toys include laser pointers, crinkly tunnels, and jingle balls on complex race tracks. Both kittens know their names, and will usually come when called (especially if food is involved!). They definitely want to sleep in bed with their people at night, but take turns very politely with any other animals. The bathroom may be their favorite room! They like playing with toys in an empty bathtub, chewing toothbrushes, sleeping in sinks, and even watching the toilet flush. And yes, they have fallen in the toilet before, but are getting pretty skilled at not falling in now! Pocket and Pye are also very enthusiastic about food, which means they eat a little too fast. They find it very rewarding to get some of their treats and kibble out of puzzle feeders. The brand name "CatIT" five in one puzzle feeder and tower were favorites to "work" for their food. Treats and verbal praise might be useful to learning tricks and behaviors as these little ladies were very easily food and treat motivated! Pocket wants to make friends with everyone, but is not a natural leader. She looks to her sister or other animals to introduce her to new situations and then learns quickly.Pocket may needsome help with grooming sometimes,especially the extra long hair around her hind end. She doesn't lovebeing brushed back there,but she tolerates it with certainkinds of brushes.Normally, kittens Pocket's age are not yet affected by catnip, but she may be an exception and finds it very interesting!!
