POKER

POKER and his best friend Ash were surrendered by their previous owner when the home became too small. At almost 12 lbs, POKER is a big boy but is still just a young guy. He is confused about their sudden life change. As is the case with many large cats, Poker doesn't feel comfortable being picked up. But he does appreciate pets and attention. He will ask for attention by reaching out his paw to you. POKER likes to play in the hallway a bit until he becomes overwhelmed by the roommates. He then retreats to a "safe space". To our knowledge, "brother" Ash is the only cat POKER has been around. We don't know if he has ever been around dogs or children. We know he gets along with Ash and he is a lovebug, so probably would do fine with kids old enough to understand how to give soft pets and no tight hugs. He probably would be ok with non-aggressive dogs. Poker is a bit more cautious than his buddy and may need some time and patience before he finds his confidence with new situations. However, POKER is young enough to eventually adapt. Of the two cats, he seems to have been more affected by losing the only home he's known and seems to be looking to his buddy for reassurance. As he is becoming used to his new circumstance, he seems to be less nervous and more interested in getting out to explore. POKER and Ash shared a home together and were surrendered together. They are young cats though and they should be ok if separated. If you would like to give POKER a safe, loving forever home, he is a sweetie who will return your love tenfold, but if your home and your heart is big enough, perhaps you would consider adopting these sweet boys as your own dynamic duo!
