You know when someone goes in for a hug, and it's super awkward-you don't know how long to hold on or if to hold on, so you just kind of lean in for the quarter-hug and back pat? Yeah. If Princess were a person, she would avoid those situations entirely. The uncertainty over where faces go would send her over the edge. Due to her discerning feelings on attention, Princess is searching for a home without any human children and where she is the only pet.
Her love languages? Gifts (Temptations treats, elegantly presented, ideally with a slight bow), words of affirmation ("Princess, you are a stunning, pear-shaped queen"), and consensual petting (You may proceed, but let's not be weird about it).
Physically, she is a vision. A tiny, round little pear of a cat with stunning yellow-green eyes and a heart-shaped freckle on her nose. She is incredibly curious, scratches her scratch pad when processing emotions (relatable), and is a delightful mix of confident but cautious, social but independent, friendly but in no rush to prove it to you. Mmkay?
That said, she's also an incredibly sweet little thing. She meows and purrs, arches her back into those pets and scratches, and will come when called... mostly. She enjoys attention-on her terms-because she has a good head on her shoulders and a little wisdom about the world.
Age is just a number to her-whether you're five or fifty, if you're all about hands and huggies, maybe reconsider. However, if you appreciate the fine art of earning a kitty's trust, respecting personal space, and offering affection rather than forcing it, you just might be her kind of person.
This girl deserves cozy nesting spots, a variety of scratching pads (one in the shape of a crown, obviously), and an adopter who understands that if you insist on running the Roomba every day or grabbing her for nail trims, she will gently suggest that you rethink your life choices. Same goes if you have another pet at home-she'll stamp DENIED on the adoption questionnaire herself.
Misunderstood? Sometimes. Particular? Sure. Fun to be around? Absolutely. If you're looking for a cat who is funny, smart, coy with her affection, and a little bit sassy but always worth it-Princess is ready to move in.
Just... don't come at her with jazz hands. Do as we say, not as we do.
