Red

Red was the most confident of his litter. He's a spunky youngster, full of curiosity and a sense of adventure, and is always ready to play! Last March Felicia, Red's mother, a beautiful flame point Siamese cross, gave birth to a litter of five kittens in a small apartment on Pennsylvania Avenue in SE Albuquerque. She and the kittens received wholesome meals and kind attention until the family was booted out in August. (No pets allowed!) Knowing the cats were going to be left homeless, Street Cat Hub neutered and vaccinated them in late August. Still on the street in October, Ready Red (his nickname) leaped into the back of his caregiver's Jeep and walked right into the carrier she had ready for him. He and his half sister Lacey, who was rescued soon thereafter, have been grateful indoor kitties ever since. They are both litter box perfect and like to scratch on their cat tree and TurboScratcher. Red and his irresistible toy, Da Bird, are pictured above, in a time-out pose. Like the kitten he is, Red just can't wait for the next round of chase and pounce. In his more mellow moments he likes to bump and nudge his foster mom's legs and arms to remind her he wants her to scratch his head and ears. And then more play, please! Red is comfortable with other cats and is ready to make new friends. He enjoys human company and likes to be stroked.
