My Story
Meet Tango – a truly exceptional feline who’s as magnificent on the inside as he is on the outside. With his regal appearance reminiscent of a lion, Tango's journey from Egypt to a rescue in Northern Virginia is nothing short of inspiring. He's now searching for his forever family, and he has so much love to give.
Tango’s personality is as endearing as his stunning, plush multi-colored coat, likely a gift from his Maine Coon ancestry. With a calm and sweet demeanor, he’s a low-key companion who adores gentle pets, attention, and a little pampering. His deep, soothing purr will be music to your ears as he melts into affection.
When it’s playtime, Tango comes alive. He’s a pro at interactive toys on wires or strings, has impressive skills in springy-toy soccer, and is an avid birdwatcher. Whether you’re working from home or unwinding with your favorite series, Tango is the perfect companion. He thrives on calm reassurance and, once he feels secure, will reward you with his truly loving nature.
At around two years old, Tango is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and boasts impeccable litter box manners. He’s great with calm, non-dominant cats and would love to be adopted with his crate-mate, Molly (featured in a separate post).
Tango’s plush coat will require regular brushing, and his rescuers are hopeful that his adopter will provide updates to stay connected – especially with his devoted rescuer in Egypt, who is deeply bonded to him.
