My Story

Meet Rio, a stunningly beautiful Somali mix long-haired kitty who suddenly found himself orphaned when his owner passed away. Rio has a thick, magnificent coat with a gorgeous striped pattern and a huge fluffy tail. He has the golden sheen of the Somali cat breed and the same inquisitive personality. If you know the Somali breed, then you are familiar with their affectionate, interactive personality. Rio exhibits all the traits indicative of a mixed Somalian genetics. He is highly sociable and loves to explore or follow his owner around the house. This type of cat enjoys interacting with humans and do not adjust well to boredom. Most Somali mix breeds make wonderful companions for people who spend most of their time at home. Due to his thick fur coat and luxurious locks, Rio will need an owner who is well-versed in the care of a long-haired breed. His soft, dense coat will require regular brushing (once or twice a week) to keep it free from tangles. We are selectively looking for the perfect household for Rio to join where he will be pampered for the rest of his life. We prefer that he be the only cat in the home as he is going to be very attached to his new humans. This stunning fellow is a living, walking artwork and he knows it. If you are prepared to become his personal devoted family member for the rest of his life, let us know by texting 214 621 1139 to meet him and possibly adopt him. Please note the following: We always do vet reference checks and we WILL NOT adopt kittens or cats into household where the residential pets are unvaccinated. This is to ensure the safety of BOTH our kitten/cat and your current pets. We also only adopt locally and will reserve the right to deny Meet and Greet as our volunteers cannot do any home visits if the distance is too great.
