My Story

!!! PLEASE VISIT https://desertpawsrescue.org/cat-adoption-consultation-form TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS AND COMPLETE AN ONLINE CONSULTATION FORM FOR ADOPTION!!! Rosemary, a beautiful 7-month-old kitty with unique coloring and markings, was found wandering in Phoenix near an apartment complex. After seeing her several times and noticing she was getting pretty skinny, a tenant brought her home and tried to find her owner. Her efforts went unanswered so Desert Paws Rescue offered to take her in. Rosemary was dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and combo tested for FIV and feline leukemia. Unfortunately, she tested positive for feline leukemia on the snap test. She was tested again with a more comprehensive blood test - called a PCR, which was also positive. Currently Rosemary shows no signs of her disease and may have several years ahead of her. She is very friendly and oh-so sweet! She loves human attention and purrs all the time. She is being fostered at a home with another leukemia-positive kitty and they get along great. (She can't be mingled with leukemia-negative kitties.) There are rambunctious pups in the home that make her nervous, so maybe no dogs in her new home. If you are interested in adopting our gorgeous girl, please research feline leukemia to determine if she is a good candidate for your household.
