Rusty

Rusty (about 11 weeks old as of 11/26/24) is a male orange and white shorthaired kitten. Rusty's mom Chilli was trapped as a feral cat in Waukegan. Assuming she was a male since she was orange her foster family had her scheduled for a "neuter" only for her to give birth to 6 kittens in her trap the night before her appointment! Thankfully it turned out Chilli was really sweet and she's done a great job raising her babies in foster care. Rusty is the feisty little alpha of his litter- crazy even by kitten standards. He's sweet like his mom but just bursting with energy, he goes down for cozy snuggly naps just often enough to maximize how much time he's bouncing off the walls. He's great with kids and would be great with other cats that want to play! Without a young fesity playmate though he'd probably be a nightmare for a cat with average or below average energy levels. He hasn't lived around dogs but we think he would adapt nicely to any calm dog that can deal with a little orange and white menace dive bombing them. He will be neutered December 12th and ready to go to his new home shortly after that!
