My Story

Salami is the gentle soul of the bunch. She's soft, snuggly, and has the sweetest little meow you've ever heard. While she enjoys playtime, she's also perfectly content curling up in a lap or a warm sunny spot. Salami would thrive in a home where she can be pampered and loved-preferably with someone who appreciates long kitten naps and slow blinks. Please remember that Salami is a kitten and kitten behavior comes with the package. They need lots of toys and places to scratch to learn good scratching habits. They also need patience as they finesse their litter box skills in a new home they are unfamiliar with. They are all currently in the Ellensburg shelter and will be ready for adoption soon! If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A picture says 1,000 words... right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays-no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
