Hi there!
My name is Sally Jo and I am a gorgeous dilute tabico girl who came to SCAS as a stray with my kittens, all of whom have since graduated to finding their own homes (I even fostered some kittens who needed a mom, how cool is that!?). The nice people who take care of me say I am such a great kitty with tremendous potential to be a fantastic companion!
When I arrived at the shelter, this new place with strange smells and sounds was rather overwhelming and I preferred to hide under my bed though I was never hissy or defensive. With time I have become more confident and now that I am living in one of the shelter’s cat apartments I am getting lots of visitors who I am learning aren't very scary at all. I seem to get along with the other cats (they are actually mostly older kittens) even if their boisterous energy tends to annoy me at times; if you have another kitty at home, I would likely do fine. If I am to be your one and only, please understand that I might need just a bit more tender TLC and patience to come out of my shell.
I am not sure how I feel about dogs or other animals, and might prefer older kids given I am on the shyer side. But don’t let that deter you, a nice warm couch is very different from a shelter environment and all I might need is a little decompression period once home. Please come meet me today!
