My Story

Sesame has been in foster care with her sibling Wasabi, but now they're getting antsy and are eager to take the next big step: adoption! In foster care they were around children ranging in age from 8 to 17 and while they were a bit shy, they were affectionate. Sesame's foster says she is affectionate and loves cuddling. She enjoys playing with her sister but is more aware of her surroundings and curious. If you're thinking about adopting multiple kitties, Sesame's sibling would be a purrfect match! If you're ready to adopt now come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00pm. This is for in-shelter pets (not in foster care). You can also: Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us ([email protected]) for more information about a pet, to adopt sight unseen or to place a 24 hour hold on a pet. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. Check out the video (above, with the pictures) for top tips on how to bring a kitten like this home with you and integrate them into your home! All kitten adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age) -current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
