My Story

Meet Simon, a sweet orange and white 9-year-old male. Simon was initially adopted from Alley Cat Project in the Summer of 2015. At some point, his original owner re-homed him instead of bringing him back to us, and finally, in November of 2024, Simon was left at the Seattle Animal Shelter. Simon is a big boy - not fat, just a big guy - and is figuring out his new state of affairs. He loves to get pets and will lay on his side asking for pets in a chirpy voice. He loves to roll over for belly pets, play chase with fellow fosters, and really enjoys meal times! He is very easygoing, social, and goes with the flow. Simon is currently eating prescription wet food as he has digestion issues with dry food. He is a fast eater, so he gets small portions throughout the day. He will use his paw to lick the bowl; those big paws come in handy! Slowly, he is getting nonprescription food mixed into his diet. Simon is looking for a forever home with a human who can help him adjust again. What Simon is looking for in a home: - He will need time and grace to readjust to the inside life. - He has lots of energy and will benefit from plenty of active playtime. - He feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment. - He needs to live indoors only. - He has a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to his age. - He has no known history with dogs. - He has no known history with children. - He requires a prescription diet for digestive issues with dry food. All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Thank you for your interest in adopting Simon! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt him by filling out this questionnaire: https://bit.ly/ACPAdoptionForm Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
