Sparrow

Sparrow is an adorable brown-tabby girl, about eight-nine months old, who needs a home. She was rescued off the street, frightened, hungry, after she'd been cruelly left out there to fend for herself by someone who moved away. Despite that, she has not lost any of her sweetness. You know how most cats are a little shy at first? Well, that tends to last only a few minutes with Sparrow. Even everyone at the vet's office commented on how sweet she was, even getting her shots. Her fosters say she's an affectionate girl who likes being pet, and she responds with a warm purr. She peacefully coexists with the other cats in her foster home, but she would do OK as a solo cat as long as she's adopted into an interactive home where she'll get lots of attention and won't be left unaccompanied for long. We have not observed her with dogs or kids, but we think she'd do well with kids who know how to treat cats respectfully. Sparrow is an easy cat who seems suitable for a first-time adopter. She has been: - spayed - given rabies and distemper vaccinations - tested negative for FeLV and FIV - treated for worms and fleas Her adopter will receive her medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. She's being fostered in Malden. Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time.
