Sprite

Sprite is considered a little miracle at United Paws. When she first arrived in April, she weighed just a little over 5 ounces. It was touch and go for awhile and volunteers weren't sure she was going to make it. However, we quickly learned lil Sprite had lots of might! Volunteers hand fed her about every 2 hours and often carried her around tucked in their fleece jackets for warmth, near their hearts. In May, Sprite got strong enough to start playing with her four brothers who were at least 3 times bigger than her. They were all gentle and loving with their little sis while she whomped on them, biting their ears and necks, and doing her best to put them in their place. Over the summer, UP President Karen Schrader fostered Sprite where she continued to thrive in a home environment along with other kittens and cats. She definitely needs to be in a household with at least one or two other playful kittens and showered with lots of physical affection. No question about it, Sprite has grown accustomed to being spoiled! Sprite is a petite kitty, but now weighs almost 4 pounds at 6 months old, and whatever she may lack in size, she more than makes up with her mighty spirit and will to live. Recently, she got big enough to be spayed and is now ready for her forever home. Sprite is a sweetheart and will immediately win you over just by her very presence. Whether cuddling with her or engaging her in play, Sprite is just pure kitten fun. She absolutely loves wrestling with other kittens or cats in the household, and she can definitely hold her own. If you are seriously considering Sprite as a family member, please also consider adopting at least one of her brothers who are still available-Oliver, Linus and / or Gabriel. They had all been rescued from a crowded living situation in an old trailer. With Sprite and another kitten or two, it is guaranteed that your home will be filled with lots of joy and love.
