My Story
Meet Stan – The Resilient, Loyal Companion Looking for His Forever Home!
Stan isn’t just any cat—he’s a survivor with a heart of gold. Rescued from the Bronx, presumably abandoned, this confident and intelligent boy has been through a lot, but he hasn’t let it dim his spirit. His missing tail is the result of a traumatic amputation with degloving, meaning he suffered an injury that not only removed his tail but also stripped some of the surrounding tissue. Yet, despite his past, Stan holds no grudges—he is trusting, affectionate, and full of love.
With his dog-like personality, Stan is always by your side, following you from room to room, curling up next to you, and greeting you at the door like an old friend. While other cats might hide, Stan is the first to welcome guests, showing off his friendly and fearless nature. He enjoys being petted in just the right ways and thrives on human companionship.
Stan is also a playful guy—he loves feather toys, chasing balls, and engaging in fun games. He gets along well with other cats and would be a fantastic addition to a home looking for a social, interactive feline companion.
Stan has already proven his resilience, and now he just needs a family who will love him for the incredible cat he is. It should be YOU!

All Bronx Tails cats are spayed/neutered (when age appropriate), vaccinated, tested for Feline AIDS and Feline Leukemia (negative for both) and are litterbox reliable and loving toward people.
We require adopters to fill out an application, have basic references checked, allow a home visit and video tour (to ensure conditions are safe and reasonable), and pay an adoption fee. We allow all adopters an up-to-2-week-long tryout period to determine if the cat(s) is a good match for them. If not, we will retrieve the cat(s) and return the adoption fee in full. We will also help with tips and methods for introducing the cat(s) to other pets, if needed.
