My Story

Susie is a perfectly marked tuxedo: white paws, white blaze on face, and white chest. Susie was trapped at the Hawk Pointe Golf Course in late November, 2024. A family of tuxedo cats had shown up, most likely dumped. The veterinary technician said she was easy to handle, implying not a true feral. The rescuer did release her outside to be with her litter -mates and continued to feed and watch over the cats . However, when the extreme cold snap hit in January, Susie was re-trapped (actually baited with a tease toy!). The rescuer decided to hold Susie in a large separate crate and have her vetting completed. She is now fully vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FELV, and dewormed. Susie is about 6 months old, and more of a "teenager" than a kitten. She is energetic, purrs when petted, and enjoys the company of other cats. She loves to climb on a cat tree and also play with toys. She likes Natural Cat Chow, Chicken flavored Temptations treats, Churu Bisque, and she adores freeze-dried chicken breast bites, which are used to get her back in her crate. Friskies Shreds are also on her menu. She uses either newsprint pellet litter or corn litter and is very neat. We don't know how she would do with dogs or small children. The ideal adopter would be experienced with cats and be patient with her, as she needs to adjust to a new household. Right now, because she has limited "free" time outside her crate , she is very active and not eager to be picked up or held. As said before, freeze dried chicken bites are the treat that will get her attention. ---To meet any of our cats please fill out our adoption application to be approved.
