My Story

Meet Syndey, a calico kitty with large ears and beautiful light green eyes, she is approximately 4-5 months old. She is a beautiful blend of stripes and spots, bits of grey/black and orange, and a white bib and socks. Sydney is a sweet but shy girl. She is still adjusting to living with humans and likes to have the option to hide, but once trust is built, she’ll come to you, seeing pets and cheek scratches. Sydney is a purr machine. Sometimes she just likes to spontaneously purr when she’s just hanging out with you, sometimes when you’re giving her some love, and sometimes when she cuddles up with one of her litter mates. One of five kittens, she sometimes can be found snoozing or hanging out on her own, but she really could use another single kitten buddy or a young cat (up to three years old) so she has someone to play and cuddle with. She’s a bit more timid at mealtime, so care should be taken that her buddy doesn’t eat everything before she gets a chance. Sitting on the hammock on the window so she can watch birds outside is a favorite activity, and she loves treats, especially Churus. She might benefit from starting in a smaller space to acclimate before she’s offered a bigger space to explore. What Sydney is looking for in a home: - She’s a friendly girl and would best be paired with a kitten or a young adult (up to 3 years old) to model good kitty behavior. - She can be a bit shy at first so she will need someone willing to be patient, but she will warm up quickly. - She is an affectionate cat, easy to handle, enjoys pets and scratches, and is quick to purr. - She is easy to handle and can be held for short periods of time, but it’s not her favorite. - She has lots of curious kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active playtime - She enjoys downtime in a quiet environment. - She needs to live indoors only. - She has no known history with dogs. - She has no known history with young children but given how friendly she is, she would probably do just fine with respectful children. All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Thank you for your interest in Sydney!
