Tabitha

SOS!!! A true animal lover/rescuer needed for Tabitha! She was surrendered to the shelter after her quiet, senior owner passed away. Tabitha doesn't understand what is going on and why she is in a cage. The fear in Tabitha is hard to describe as the vet put her on a short term anxiety medication. It did help a bit and after months, Tabitha is sweet first thing in the morning and allow pets (even purrs) but after that, the fear sets in and she hisses and hides all day. It is very sad. She needs MONTHS in a very calm, quiet home. Someone who will not push themselves on her, and not expect instant cat. She does like other cats and that could help her transition into a home. She is food motivated! Tabitha is 3 years old and declawed. The shelter has an appointment only policy. We ask potential adopters to fill out our application, prior to a scheduled meeting.
