My Story

Penn and Teller were rescued from a feral cat population, abandoned, sick, and hungry. Named after the famous magicians Penn and Teller for their magical illusions of raccoons that have gotten into chocolate syrup, they have fully embraced the house cat lifestyle! Teller is smaller and was weaker when they were rescued and relies on Penn for guidance and comfort, although he is not at all timid. Penn is a good big brother and watches out for Teller. He is fascinated by screens and watches computer cursors and TVs (he has "liked" reels on my phone with his paws, so beware!). Both love attention and to play and are not shy with strangers. They enjoy interactive play time with people, and they sleep on the bed at night, waking us up each morning with a lot of purring and nose bumps. Penn and Teller really enjoy lap time and any other opportunity to be pet. These kittens had ear mites and infections when they were rescued and couldn't hear. They can hear now but Teller has not learned yet how to meow, and Penn's meow is very quiet. They rely upon each other a lot and would prefer that they adopted together. Teller would be lost without Penn. These little racoon impersonators have been fostered with a large, geriatric dog and our resident cats, and had no difficulties adapting to the menagerie. They are litter- box trained (Litter Robot) and will be great additions to a quieter family or one with a little older children, in a home equipped with lots of toys and people to play with, and ample time to devote to these sweet and unique kitties. To meet Penn and Teller, please reach out to foster, Pam, at [email protected].
