My Story

THEODORE is a gentle, playful, 3 year old, Maine Coon boy. He has a beautiful, plushy coat and incredible, buff, orange, and white markings, with some mackerel striping. His paws are quite large, and he is quite a big boy...almost finished growing. He is still kittenish at his age, and very sweet and curious. He loves attention and being petted! He is wonderful with other cats and should adjust to a cat-friendly dog. He has an enormous appetite, having to fend for himself outdoors before we rescued him, and he'll try to trick you into thinking you haven't fed him! I think his record is getting 6 cans of cat food in one day!!! THEODORE is very silly and gentle, and he loves people and attention. Once he trusts you, he enjoys being petted. He is so soft and silky...you'll want to pet him for hours! He is a little shy at first, but comes out of his shell quickly. Are you ready to make this big, fluffy boy a part of your forever family? THEODORE is fully vetted and ready for immediate adoption! He is so good with people that he was clearly owned at one time, but was found outside. He is negative for feline leukemia, but tested positive for FIV. It doesn't affect his health at all, and he is so gentle that he won't bite other cats, which is how it is transmitted. There will be a lot of demand for THEODORE. He will have an adopter very quickly! Make sure to send an email requesting an application. IF YOU ARE NOT READY FOR IMMEDIATE ADOPTION, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY!!! Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption of a particular cat. We receive many applications for each listed cat, and we review them carefully to ensure a good fit. Of approvable applications, we give precedence to the earliest that we receive. All of our cats and kittens are rescued, or surrendered to us by their previous owners, and now seek loving, permanent homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention. We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders. Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations. The care that we provide, the animals that we rescue, all costs are covered out of pocket, so our adoption fees are higher than what you may find at a funded or government shelter. To request an application, email [email protected]. For other questions, call/text John at 914-441-3239. DO NOT CALL OR TEXT FOR APPLICATIONS! We DO NOT have "meet and greet" visitations. All adoption appointments are made after we have approved your application.
