Tia

Imagine this: Eighteen frightened cats packed into two crates. Abandoned in the parking lot of a boat store. Luckily, someone from a rescue group came. They transported us to Paws and Claws, where we have shelter. We have a warm place to sleep. We have good food to eat and people to care for us. I’m Tia, a black and white female, one of the cats who is more nervous than some of the others. I let people pet me if they approach me slowly and quietly. With time and patience, I think I will warm up. I may want to explore and play. I’m a cat, and I’d like to do cat things. I’m just a tad scared – can you blame me? I might like it if you just sit with me, talk in a soft voice, and gently pet me. I think I’d like that. I think I can learn to trust again. Give me time, please.
