When adopting an animal from a rescue group, you literally are saving a life, and in Tia’s case this couldn’t be truer. Meet Tia, a five-year-old, white and brown tabby female. We’re going to be honest, she’s a bit of a work in progress, but really from no fault of her own. She was recently put into protective custody by animal control when her owner went into the hospital. However, once released, her owner skipped town and left her at the shelter. This recent upheaval has left her a little confused and a bit salty, which we understand. Tia likes pets on her own terms, but will give a swat when she had enough. We do know she loves tuna flavored food. It may take a bit to earn her trust, but we hope there is someone out there willing to recognize the turbulence Tia has gone through and is willing to provide her with a quiet home as she decompresses and settles in a new life. If you think you may be willing to be her animal hero then make your way up to the PetSmart on Academy and Wyoming for a little meet and greet.
