My Story

Twyla is a delightful and very loving little girl, she was found wandering about neighborhoods looking for her forever family. She is a gorgeous fawn and silver medium hair tabby with the longest most elegant tail in town. She is very affectionate and loves to be cuddled and picked up. She is very trusting of people and warms up quickly, often greeting her friends with a purr. While Twyla enjoys being able to sit on your lap, stretch out on a bed and gaze out the window she also highly values her playtime. So far, catnip squirrels, feathers wands and laser pointers have been her favorite toys as she darts in and out of her kitty play tunnel. Twyla is a discerning kitty and will gently let you know when she needs a break from pets and stimulation by swishing her luxurious fluffy tail. While Twyla is very motivated to spend time with human companions she is not a big fan of sharing her space with other animals and would need a very slow gentle introduction to other creatures and might prefer to be the sole pet in a household so she can have all of the attention and compliments. Twyla can be a little bit of a picky eater and will need to take her time to try new foods and let you know what she likes best, she will happily try different textures and has eaten both wet and dry food. When you find a treat that she likes, Twyla will sweetly rub her little face on the treat and take it from your fingers ever so gratefully and gently. Twyla was likely born in 12-2023. She is now ready for her new home, as she has been FeLV/FIV tested negative, microchipped, spayed, vaccinated, vet examined, flea treated and dewormed. She would likely not enjoy young kids, but would be okay with kids over the age of 12 who are respectful of cats. She does not seem to like other cats or dogs. Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to setting up an online meeting. If the online meeting goes well for all parties, then we can set up a socially distant meet and greet. Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to set up a meeting. http://nwac-oregon.org/adoption-application/ If you submit an inquiry instead of an application, this will delay the process and increase the chance someone else will meet YOUR dream cat before you do! If we get an inquiry, we will ask you to fill out an application before we respond to questions. -The $175 adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, de-worming, current flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam. Unless otherwise noted, they have also had a negative test for FIV and FeLV. Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.
