My Story

Hi, I'm Weymouth, a beautiful short-haired tortoiseshell girl with striking yellow eyes and a soft, quiet personality. I was born approximately 4/30/24 I came from Roswell, New Mexico, with my mom and three sisters. We were lucky to have a foster who gave us a safe place to grow, and I've been making slow but steady progress ever since coming to Wild Blue. I've been slowly learning that people can be kind and gentle. I'm shy, but with patience and love, I know I can keep building my confidence. I tend to stick close to my mom Whitwell--she's my safe place--and watching her trust people has really helped me start to open up. I've learned to enjoy Churu treats (I may even take them gently off your finger) and playtime with feather wands and spinning ball toys. I've even started to approach for pets on my own, especially if my mom is nearby. Once I feel comfortable, I don't mind full-body pets, and I might even reward you with a soft purr. Just keep in mind that I still startle easily and may hide, so I need slow, calm interactions on my terms. I'd love a home that understands shy cats like me--someone with patience who will let me blossom at my own pace. I'd do well in a quiet home with calm, older and patient teenagers, another friendly cat, or even a quiet dog, as long as you take it slow and follow Wild Blue's introduction procedures. If you're looking for a special kitty who just needs a little extra love and time to trust, I'd be honored to be part of your family. Will you be the one to show me how wonderful life with a forever home can be? If so, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt.
