My Story

Hi! My name is Wirt and I'm looking for a loving home to call my own! I am 1yr old and I've been at the shelter since November 14th. I am a very sweet lad who can be a little shy when we first meet. Once we become friends I will lay my head in your hands for some chin scratches. I'm a pretty laid back here at the shelter but I do enjoy a few toys and catnip from time to time! My ideal home would be very loving and patient while I adjust to new environments. I came to the shelter as a stray so staff are unsure how I would do with other animals and kids. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or you can call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341 as early as 10:30 AM and place a nonrefundable $25 hold towards my adoption fee to put you first in-line to adopt! Our adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30am-6:00pm and Sunday 10:30am-4:00pm. Our adoption process is first come first serve. WIRT'S ADOPTION FEE: $100 plus tax. This fee is used for the extensive costs associated with vetting and otherwise caring for Wirt and future pets at our shelter. Every adopter from Animal Allies receives a pet that has been spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Our pets also receive dental work or other treatments when necessary. In addition, Animal Allies provides free lifetime post-adoption counseling to help with any behavioral issues or concerns you may have for your new pet!
