My Story

Wobbles is a beautiful and fluffy cat who was born with severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia. He is unable to walk, but can navigate by flopping to his location pretty quickly. Despite this, he is very good about using the litterbox. He does require regular brushing to keep his coat from matting. Wobbles a sweet cat who is a little shy. He would do best in a home with other cat-friendly cats to keep him company. Cerebellar hypoplasia is a developmental condition in which the cerebellum of the brain fails to develop properly. The cerebellum is the portion of the brain that controls fine motor skills, balance and coordination. The condition is not painful or contagious, nor is it progressive. Cats with cerebellar hypoplasia may have strange movements, but they don't know any different and are happy. Wobbles is an FIP Survivor and received treatment with an antiviral drug called GS-441524 to save their life. This treatment consisted of a minimum of 12 weeks of injections or pills, as well as an additional 12-week observation period. Without treatment, FIP is considered fatal, typically within days or weeks of illness. GS-441524 has been shown to be a safe and effective therapy for the treatment of FIP in cats, with a cure rate over 80%. You can read more about FIP here: https://www.sockfip.org Wobbles is neutered, vaccinated. microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws). Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.
