Wolfgang is a distinguished senior gentleman who is looking to spend the rest of his days napping, snacking, and cuddling with this favorite people. This gentle giant was found abandoned by some of our volunteers and we nursed this beautiful boy back to health. When Wolfgang came to us, he was underweight and had lots of missing hair. But now his luxurous coat is growing back and he's ready for the spotlight. He's probably one of the sweetest, good natured cats we've met in a long time and we'd love to see him find a home that appreciates him in his golden years. RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We'll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you're interested in. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $125 for cats, and payable by Paypal, Venmo, cash, or check. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets.
