My Story

Rare Beauty! A unique breed for sure! Zendaya and her sister Zara, are sweet and loving girls around 1 year old. They seem to love being the center of your attention and curling up in a warm lap; they also seem particularly fond of men. They have lived with dogs and other cats. They are litter box trained, and will use a scratching post and scratching pads. The Cornish Rex is a medium sized cat with a lean, athletic build, and striking wedge-shaped head with large mobile ears. The prominent feature of the breed however is their rex' coat, which is curled, waved or rippled across the whole of the cat, even the whiskers and eyebrows! Their coat is so silky to touch! While common myth believes that the Rex is hypoallergenic, this is a MYTH. This breed will benefit from an experienced owner, and needs a high-level of enrichment including simulated hunting games and interactive play. Their special coat requires weekly grooming, ear cleaning, and nail trims. They are not considered ideal for family homes, and would benefit from a relaxed household without small children or a multitude of animals. All available cats are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations, Feline Leukemia tested, and given a broad spectrum dewormer . The adoption fee for Zendaya is $600.00. If you would like to adopt Zendaya and her sister Zara together, the price of the pair will be reduced. The rescue will not ship animals, and applications within 200 miles of Oklahoma City will be given preference. If you decide to apply for this or another animal, you can complete the application online here https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/570/generic We require that all cats in the home be spayed or neutered, and up to date on vaccines. If you would like to email or call, you can reach us here: [email protected] or 405-578-4738 Our volunteers would love to talk to you about available pets, but please allow time for them to get back to you, they do this in their free time. Thank you for chosing to adopt!
