My Story

MEET BOLD! (aka Chico) 19Bold Male Chi/mix 13 yrs. old 12 lbs. Looking for Fospice foster He is a sweet fospice pup looking for a wonderful home to live out his golden years as he sadly lost his owner. He was recently diagnosed with Cushings and has been prescribed daily medications. As a fospice dog, Foothill will cover the cost of his meds and vet appointments. A little about this little guy: He has a very good temperament and is such a sweet pup! We think he would get along with any dogs, but not sure about cats. He is the kind of guy that really wants to be with his people all the time and will need a home that can allow him to go with them everywhere or have someone stay with him. He rides well in the car and loves walks - he walks very well on the leash. He is looking for a home that is open and dedicated to keep him on his meds, continuing a healthy lifestyle and love him so much (like all the time, because he wants to be with his people all the time). Who has room in their heart and home for this cute little guy? If so, please submit a foster application at foothilldogrescue.org/foster Bold is a very shy/sweet older Chihuahua mix, approx 13 years old. He weighs about 12lbs. Bold takes time to warm up, but once he does, he would prefer to always be with his human. He is house trained. Bold will whimper for a few minutes when put into his crate at night, but will sleep through the night quietly after. He will signal at night, while in his crate, to use the restroom. Bold is very shy at first with new people or visitors, so his new family will need to help build his confidence with lots of praise and positive experiences. Bold prefer to have his people all to himself. A home without other dogs is ideal. He attaches to his person and prefers they be around more than gone.
