My Story

Meet 25Bandit! Neutered Male German Shepherd/Corgi Mix Approx. 8 months old Approx. 40 pounds Kids: yes Dogs: yes Cats: unknown House Trained: working on it Crate Trained: yes Bandit is such a sweet, loving boy. He’s so fluffy you just can’t resist always wanting to pet his adorable head! He has such a cute personality and when he gets excited his tail wags in circles. He has been great with our kids and with everyone he meets. He plays well with our resident dog but really loves people too and would probably be fine as an only dog. He is still very young and occasionally can’t resist beginning to chew things but is quick to stop when corrected. It’s easy to redirect his attention with a toy or bone. He loves his crate and will often go in to rest or escape from scary vacuums. He sleeps through the night in his crate and doesn’t mind it during the day when the family is out. He doesn’t complain about anything. He hardly ever barks but sometimes whines a little when he’s holding a toy, like he’s worried someone might take it away from him. He enjoys walks and doesn’t pull on the leash but gets a little nervous at times and might do a little zig zagging. He is doing well with house training and does not have accidents in the house as long as he gets regular bathroom breaks. We often keep the back door open so he can go in and out as he pleases, so he would do very well with a doggie door. Bandit is such a good boy, and we have absolutely loved fostering him! If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue. Small dog meet and greets are 10:30-12:30 and larger dogs (over 40 lbs.) are from 11:30-1:30. Our address is: 4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14 Shingle Springs, CA Please bring all resident dogs and children that live in the household to the meet and greet.
