NOTICE: ADOPTION EVENT ON 3/8 WILL BE FROM 1:00-3:00! 25Gwen is a gorgeous, timid, quiet, affectionate sweetheart. Here are the details: Gwen 24 lb female beagle mix ~2 years old Dogs - Gwen must be adopted by a family with a resident dog. It’s the only way she’ll adapt and thrive. She loves all other dogs and likes to play gently. Cats - yes, did well with a dog-confident resident cat. Children – hasn’t been tested with small children, but is great with our teenagers. Crate - will transport and sleep in her crate (but our impression is that she does not love it. She has been quietly sleeping through the night in our bed and loves it. She wants to be with her pack.) Housetraining - in progress and successful on a schedule. First thing in the morning, after meals, and before bed and she is fine. Leash – Gwen’s respite foster leash-trained her for a week and Gwen did great. Gwen was going on long walks of 3-5 miles. Gwen is not an insta-love girl. She will warm up to her humans by observing you interacting kindly and gently with your resident dog. Her family should allow her to approach first, and before you know it, she’ll be in your lap! Small dog meet and greets are 10:30-12:30 and larger dogs (over 40 lbs.) are from 11:30-1:30. Our adult dog adoption fee is $300 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and includes spay or neuter, rabies, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, microchip, heart worm test and lifetime registration.
