My Story

Adoption Fee: $475 All animals are fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines (may need boosters). From the Foster: BOB has a stunning set of Eyes. Blue Or Black, you decide which is more striking. After his one accident, he has been dependable in going outside and has successfully held it through the night. If given the opportunity, Bob loves sleeping in bed or napping with a face in laundry. Bob is willing to play with tennis balls at home. He can chase and return it right next to you, then back up a step for you to pick it up. The pup is smart enough to save you most of the work. He has also taken a preference to rubber pig ""oink"" toys. I came home to him happily pulling out the fluffy white stuffing... I was not aware they had stuffing. He happily brings the empty pig toy to me and encourages me to throw it for him or play tug. He is still learning to drop when playing Tug but he is quick to sit when you hold his toy. He plays well with other dogs at Grandview Dog Park. So far he hasn't been a barky dog when playing. He runs and runs, then finds another dog(s) to chase around. Bob is not as responsive to being called away from play as my own Shepards but for a pup that I have fostered for 3 days, he is doing great. I can sternly shout BOB or a couple sharp whistles, his ears perk up alert and looks around. Most of the time, a follow up whistle can get him trotting back towards me. I was able to whistle from opposite ends of the dog park and get him to return, with a couple stops to greet humans in his path. Still, I didn't need to chase him when I was ready to leave. Very good for a pup that has 3 days with me. Bob has the energy for hikes and an outgoing personality to play himself out at a park. He will need work on his leash walking but that shouldn't be difficult with his personality. Bob is a good choice for skipping the more negative and frustrating aspects of very young puppies. www.coloradopuppy.org
