Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Abilene is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie is in the tail end of puppyhood and and still has all that puppy love for play and snuggles and more play! She hasn't seen nearly enough of the world and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for romps in the park and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so she can show how super smart she is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved for all her days. What do you say? As soon as we got home she immediately crawled into my lap and took a nap until I had the audacity to stand up. She loves to go on long sniffy walks around the neighborhood and likes to take breaks by sitting between my feet and watching the birds flying. She's done great with my resident dog and has made lots of neighborhood friends already! She also LOVES broccoli and would happily eat your leftovers (or eat some you're avoiding eating). She is going to be the BEST addition to anyone's family she is such a sweet girl. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
