My Story

Meet Acorn: A Gentle Soul in Search of a Loving Haven Are you ready to open your heart and home to a sweet, shy girl who's had a rough start in life? Look no further than Acorn, a beautiful 5-year-old golden mix with a heart of gold. Acorn's journey hasn't been easy, but her resilience shines through. This lovely lady prefers the company of furry friends, both canine and feline, over strangers. If you're a patient, kind, and compassionate soul, Acorn might just be the perfect companion for you. Ideal Home: Acorn thrives in the presence of other dogs and cats. She's house trained and seeks the comfort of a larger dog buddy to help her blossom. She is a bit of a nosy nelly, she has a way of sneaking up quietly to sniff you and investigate what you are doing. In a low-energy or smaller home, Acorn will flourish as long as she has a furry friend to follow around and play with. Patience and understanding will be key in helping her build trust and feel secure. Daily Routine: While Acorn may not be a fan of walks due to her fear of sounds like passing cars, she enjoys finding a secret hiding place to snooze away. A calm and quiet environment would suit her best, where she can feel safe and secure. Acorn occasionally takes a bone to her sanctuary but shows limited interest in toys. However, if there's one thing that can make her tail wag, it's the irresistible aroma of bacon! Personality Traits: Acorn is a low-energy sweetheart who is still working on overcoming her fear of people. Positive reinforcement goes a long way with her, as she learns to trust and build a bond with her adopter. With time and love, Acorn has the potential to blossom into the loving companion she was meant to be. Adopting Acorn: If you're ready to make a difference in Acorn's life and offer her the loving home she deserves, please consider adopting this silly, gentle, sweet soul. Your patience and understanding will be rewarded with unconditional love and loyalty. Acorn is spayed, current on her vaccinations and preventatives and microchipped. She is hoping to find a special family that will help her continue to prosper into a more socialized dog at a pace she is comfortable with.
