My Story

Meet ALESKA (aka ALLY) Hi there. My name is Aleska but my foster mom calls me Ally most of the time. I’m almost 6 months old now and as you can see by my pictures, I’m a gorgeous Husky girl. I was born on 8-14-24 but when I was just a couple of months old, I was taken to the shelter, along with my parents, my siblings and a large group of other family members. The shelter called it a “Hoarding Case”. I’m not sure what that means but I do remember that there were a lot of us and we were living outside and not getting food or water regularly. The shelter was very scary because I was not used to being around people and it made me very timid at first. However, that has all changed since a rescue saved me and I got to live with my foster mom. At her house I’ve learned to trust people and how to play with other dogs. I even love to play chase with her kitty…never in a mean way of course. I even get to go to work with my foster mom many days, and there I meet lots of fun people too, many of whom bring me treats. I love treats!! Now that new people and situations don’t scare me anymore, I am friendly and sweet to all people and dogs. I really love to play chase and toys are my favorite things. I’m a very typical Husky pup. I’m vocal and can be stubborn, but if you want me to learn new things, I’m mostly motivated by your attention and for you to play with me. I’m up to date on all shots, hw negative, spayed and microchipped, so I’m the complete package. I have been working learning basic commands, like sit and come and also leash walking!   I know I’m very smart and beautiful but definitely have the husky temperament, therefore a family with Husky or large breed experience would be ideal. My perfect home would be with an active adventurous family and a fenced yard to play in. I am crate trained and mostly potty trained. Occasionally I have an accident but it’s very rare these days. Since I’m still a puppy, I have lots of puppy energy and really like to get plenty of attention and exercise. I’m no couch potato but cuddling on the couch after playtime is something I do enjoy. My forever family should continue with my obedience training to help me grow into a well mannered adult. My ideal home could be a single person or a family. Some children to play and grow with, would also be amazing. I would be thrilled to have a furry sibling or two as well. Aleska is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test. You can find my form "AJC Rescue & Transport Adoption Application" at: https://form.jotform.com/230167351175149
