Meet Alfie, a charming male Schnauzer mix who's ready to steal your heart! Alfie is a social butterfly, greeting everyone he meets with joy and tail wags, including his foster's two kids (ages 12 and 14). He's a people dog through and through, thriving on head rubs, back scratches, and plenty of affection. Alfie shows his love by rubbing his head on your lap or legs and even giving a big hi-5 on cue!
Alfie comes with a repertoire of skills like "sit" and an impressive ability to come when called-even if he doesn't know his name yet. While he enjoys following his people around, he's also independent and loves finding his own cozy spot to curl up for a nap. A true Netflix companion, Alfie is happy to snuggle on the couch for a binge session or a quiet evening in.
Playtime is Alfie's jam! He loves toys and needs daily activity to stay stimulated, whether it's fetching a soft toy down the hallway, flinging toys in the air, or running in the yard with his foster's dogs. Alfie has the cutest Schnauzer-style "gruff" sound when he's ready to play. Despite his playful side, he's mostly a quiet guy-except for some excited howls when it's time for food, walks, or an adventure. Speaking of adventures, Alfie is a perfect travel buddy, enjoying car rides and leisurely walks where he's a true gentleman on the leash.
At home, Alfie is incredibly easygoing. He's house-trained and happily relaxes in a gated area when left alone. He sleeps through the night without a peep and loves a predictable routine. Alfie's ideal home would be with an active family that can provide him with plenty of love, structure, and fun. Older kids and adventures are right up his alley, but he's equally content with cozy downtime.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
