My Story

Alfonso is a Airedale/Wire hair fox terrier mix who is approximately 1.8 years old and weighs 33 pounds. He is a fun pup that loves to play with his people and other dogs. Alfonso is a Wal-Mart greeter type and loves everyone. He is sociable and friendly. He is very fun, athletic and smart!!! His zest for life is contagious, he is always so happy and is looking forward and so ready for any adventure! He loves to give lots of kisses and hugs! He would be great for an active family that likes walks, hikes and where he can jump into water to frolic. Alfonso is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. If you would like to add this active cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here - https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Services our dogs receive prior to adoption: Chagas Testing Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate) All age-appropriate vaccines Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Spay/neuter surgery Microchip *The breed(s) listed are guessed and based on the dog's physical appearance* Alfonso tested positive for Chagas disease and has started treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. For more information, please review here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/chagas
