My Story

Meet Alohi! This sweet girl came to us all the way from Kauai, where she was surrendered to an overcrowded shelter because she flings her toys in the air. Yup, she was surrendered for being a playful, goofy puppy! Alohi is 6 months old, weighs 13lbs currently (may top out at 40lbs), and is some sort of terrier mix. She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed (with a negative fecal test to verify she's all clear of parasites). This sweet little ball of energy LOVES people and other dogs! She absolutely loves to play, and will need a home that can get her lots of exercise/playtime. She is definitely a puppy, so she will need some help with basic obedience and potty training in her new home (but she's got the hang of potty training in her foster home). She is a quick learner and wants to please. It's important to note that, like most terriers, Alohi can be stubborn! Her fosters have found she thrives with crate training and enjoys quiet time in her crate. She does sleep through the night in her crate, so she will need a home that is open to continuing her crate training. She also recently got to go on a vacation to Lake Tahoe with her foster family and did great in her crate in the car during the journey. She loved getting to experience a new place and will make a great adventure buddy for a lucky family. If you are in the Orange County area and want to make Alohi part of your family, please fill out an adoption application on our website! This cutie will bring you lots of smiles and adventures for years to come.
