Hi, My name is Amber!   I'm a beautiful and sweet 6 year old Shiba that was recently rescued from a puppy mill. I look bigger than I am in photos, I’m just a little peanut around 20 lbs.   I'm very kind to other animals and people. My doggie friends in my foster home show me how to play outside but sometimes I just like to explore and do my own thing, it doesn't matter because I love being outside anyways. For this reason I should have a securely fenced in yard. When it's not outside time, I love to relax and stay comfortable in my bed or crate (the doors are always open so I can go in/out whenever I please!). When my fur friends play inside with toys or each other, sometimes I can get silly, but I don't always join in.   I would be fine in a home with kids, I'm very gentle, but loud noises can make me hide away. I do well in a crate, and sleep well overnight in one, however I get very anxious if I am closed up for a long time in the day (ie: entire work day). I haven't had a single accident in the home, but would prefer to be with another dog to help me learn and help build my confidence. I have signaled before to my Foster Parents when I need to go outside, but mostly rely on the other dogs to go first to help me feel safe and secure.   I hope you will give me a chance, I'm a very good girl!
