My Story

Famous Amos In a previous life, Amos was a WWII hero. He was known as an expert marksman in his position as the gunner. Receiving medal after medal for his bravery. He was also known to steal ladies' hearts in every city he was stationed in. Able to woo them onto their feet and onto the dance floor. He was respectful, but a bit mischievous. When home he could be found on his Harley, tearing up and down the country roads. Amos has aged a bit, but he can still dance the night away and woo any lady he lays eyes on. Sure those eyes are cloudy now, and his steps are a little slower, but he’s still a looker and a charmer. At 17, Amos may be in his golden years, but I don’t believe anyone has told him that. Yes, he sleeps a lot. But a man of his valor has earned a nap or two or ten. Amos is easygoing and happy to just be. He can still see light and movement, so when he spots your legs walking around that tail is up and here he comes for some butt-rubbin’. He has his Famous Amos Two Step if you can get him going. Shows he’s a really happy guy. Amos is great with everyone, dogs included, but would probably enjoy a home without small kids that can accidentally sneak up on him. His ticker is strong, but let's not startle it. Though he won’t live a long life with his next family, he will live a full one. He’s got tall tales to tell. How true they are is debatable. What we do know is he is in great health for his age. A daily regimen of anti-inflammatories, soft beds, and butt scritches is all he requires for now. He’s potty trained, even finding the doggie door on his own. We should all be so lucky to welcome a war hero into our homes. Amos is a 17-year-old, 17lb Cairn Terrier mix. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
