My Story

Hi, my name is Anna Kate, I am from Alabama. From her foster: What a sweetie! I think she's going to be a major cuddle bug. Miss Anna Kate (and her sister Anna Marie) came to stay with us a little over a week ago after a long ride from Arkansas. At least for the past two days she's slept through the night in her kennel cuddled up with her sister. During the day she will go into her kennel voluntarily for a nap, play with her sister or the toys we have for her, or cuddle up with me on the couch or resting in a sling. We are working on potty training. If she's in her kennel, her pen, or cuddling with me on the couch she will alert if she needs to go potty. She goes potty every time I take her out, and will go to a potty pad too. still a few accidents as she tends to pee twice in a row. She's started to pick up sit and leave it during the past few brief training sessions we've done. Still needs a little more work, but I was impressed. She did well with a nail trim and seems pretty mellow for a puppy. Don't get me wrong- still puppy energy- but relatively mellow as puppies go. And, like I said, SO CUDDLY! She's done very well with my 3 older kiddos (ages 12, 15 and 17). She is very playful with our 2 resident dogs, who are less interested in the puppy energy. They will need to learn ques from other dogs. They've been calm and curious around our cat. She hasn't met younger kids. As a puppy, she can be mouthy.
