Meet Archie! At nearly 3 years old and weighing 80 pounds, Archie is a loyal and protective half German Shepherd mix who thrives on routine and enjoys a good walk. This food-motivated pup is easy to train and eager to please. He’s mastered basic commands and can learn all kinds of ways to communicate, like using bells on the door and a doggy doorbell. He's not a fan of water, so if you need an occasional correction just holding a spray bottle is enough for him to stop anything he's doing. Archie loves morning snuggles, but also happily hangs out on his bed or outside during the day. He gets a bit over excited when his people return home, so he will go to his bed or grab his blanket for a minute to help him calm down if he's overwhelmed. Archie needs a couple of hours of exercise each day and is best suited to a home where he can be the only pet, as he can resource-guard with other animals. If you can provide a stable, low-stress environment, ideally have no small children and minimal visitor traffic, he is loving and loyal to his people.
