My Story

Meet Arctic, a 5-year-old, 90 pound, Akita mix. He's friendly and mellow, striking the perfect balance between fun and relaxation. Arctic is house trained and gets along well with other dogs. He's a dog who feels deeply, making him a loyal companion in search of someone to share life's ups and downs with. Arctic's sensitive nature is one of his most endearing qualities. He would thrive in a calm and peaceful home. His independence makes him the perfect companion for those who appreciate a dog who can entertain himself when needed. Yet, his friendly and mellow demeanor means he's always ready for a gentle cuddle or stroll. Arctic is looking for his 'thunder buddy', someone who can provide him with a loving and safe home. If you think this sounds like you, submit a quick "Macth Me" form online at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog to set up a time to meet this handsome guy in person! All C.A.R.E rescue dogs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, spayed/neutered, and dogs are microchipped! So all you need to provide is the love. Our adoption fee is a minimum $150 tax deductible donation. All donations are used for rescue and medical care of animals in need. If you don't have room to take home a pet but want to support our efforts to save animals in need, please consider making a donation. We are not city or state funded and rely solely on private donations that allow us to continue saving lives.
